Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Just Got DLSS Support

Respawn‘s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor just got a new update that promises to improve performance on PC, and it also adds Nvidia’s DLSS image upscaling tech.

From what I’ve seen, the version of DLSS that has been added to the game is DLSS 3, including Frame Generation, an RTX 4000 series exclusive feature that uses AI to massively improve performance at a slight cost in latency. RTX 2000 and 3000 owners will still be able to take advantage of the base DLSS implementation, which offers better image quality than FSR 2 and slightly improved performance.

While this technology should have been implemented at launch, it’s nice to see that Respawn didn’t completely abandon the game as it had been suggested in the past few months when updates slowed down to a trickle.

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor™, a third-person, galaxy-spanning, action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™ and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times — but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?
